Edwin Hahn, a plane maker (1902-18), bought stock and jigs from another Wilkesbarre resident, Jacob Siegley. This was about the time Siegley sold out to STANLEY and he probably got what Stanley didn’t take. Legend has it that Edwin hand made some of his tote and knob screws from large nails he purchased from hardware stores. This plane is no exception.

The plane is G+ to fine with no issues except the original tote has been replaced with an ill-fitting albeit good looking tote from another Hahn plane. Clearly marked by the maker in both the iron and on the back of the lever cap. This is the only known example of this model. At 29 1/2inches long, it is the largest metallic jointer we are aware of.
